Economic agreement approved between Russia and Israel
The Israel-Russia joint economic committee, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, and First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, met on Wednesday, 30 September, for its first meeting in three years. Attending the meeting were representatives from both foreign ministries as well as the ministries of finance, agriculture, infrastructures, industry and trade and transportation. The delegates discussed ways to promote cooperation.
FM Liberman said at the meeting that the convening of the committee at such a high level demonstrates that the political, economic and cultural ties between the countries are developing in a positive direction. He directed the delegates to continue the discussions on the economic and commercial agreements that have not yet been concluded to prepare them for signing.
Deputy Prime Minister Zubkov commended FM Liberman for inviting them to Israel for the meeting and thanking him for the cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the minutes of the committee were signed and the continuation of the discussions was agreed upon. Photofeed: Avi Hayun
